Yew Medical Centre's Philosophy
Here at Yew Medical Centre we believe that good communication is the corner stone to identifying and addressing health needs during a consultation. We appreciate that our patients have thought about their symptoms and what might have caused them for some time before they make an appointment. We explore these ideas with our patients. We believe this style of consultation leads to the highest possible level of patient involvement in the management of their health, resulting in better health outcomes for our patients.
We aim to work with patients to agree a shared management plan of how to best optimize their health.
Medicine and how it is practiced is constantly evolving. Our understanding of illness is constantly changing thanks to research. New treatment options are always coming on line. We base our clinical decisions on how best to treat our patients on the best available current evidence. Yew Medical Centre is very actively involved in continuous medical education. This keeps us up to date. Dr Minihan has been appointment by the Irish College of General Practitioners (ICGP) to organise continuous medical education for GP's in the North Dublin Area. Read more...
